Freedom Quote

Those who deny freedom to others deserve it not for themselves.

Abraham Lincoln

After all the heated debate about homosexuality in the past few days, I wake up to read this quotation of the day on my blog. I guess Abraham Lincoln said it all. I have no comment.

  1. Our problem is …. oversimplification … Abe was talking about slavery by the way! And I might disagree with him on how Generic that statement could be, I would argue that Judges incarcerate people everyday. Yet they still deserve freedom when they denied it to others!

  2. There is different kinds of slavery. There are slavery of thoughts whih we like to practice in this part of the world.Judges don’t incarcerate people, they preserve others freedom when someone surpasses his and violates others.

  3. Still, someone is taking freedom from someone else. “Why”.. wasn’t mentioned in the quote. All I have to do is bring ONE example where it wouldn’t be true, but you have to prove that it is ALWAYS true 🙂it’s fun (and easy) to play the skeptic 🙂

  5. Wedz, if you are referring to homosexuality in making this point. I say that homosexuality is not contageous. If someone is homosexual, it doesn’t a hetreosexual one any tempted to try it. The other way around is valid as well.

  6. “The LORD said to Moses and Aaron, 2 “Speak to the Israelites and tell them: Of all land animals these are the ones you may eat: 3 any animal that has hoofs you may eat, provided it is cloven-footed and chews the cud. 4 But you shall not eat any of the following that only chew the cud or only have hoofs: the camel, which indeed chews the cud, but does not have hoofs and is therefore unclean for you; 5 2 the rock badger, which indeed chews the cud, but does not have hoofs and is therefore unclean for you; 6 the hare, which indeed chews the cud, but does not have hoofs and is therefore unclean for you; and the pig, 7 which does indeed have hoofs and is cloven-footed, but does not chew the cud and is therefore unclean for you. “Wedz, based on the old testimony, you are not allowed to eat pork 🙂
